“The BTC challenge has definitely been a huge positive for me. I set out with the goal of losing some weight and toning up my waistline, as well as gain better results in my cardio capacity in the gym, and I feel I have achieved both these goals.

Unexpectedly the best thing for me is that this challenge has made me think about my nutrition. It has taught me to think about the nutritional content and volume of my food, and in doing so going forward will change me as a person and how a feel inside.

Eating well and the consciousness that this challenge has installed will stay with me and bring health benefits that will last for a long time after the challenge has ended.

“I started my nutrition journey with Kirsty, my main goal was to improve performance in the gym. Kirsty provided me with the support and the nutritional knowledge that I needed to reduce body fat and gain muscle to improve my performance.

Previously I had focused on the number on the scale, however by focusing on improving my nutrition and being consistent with my training this changed my body composition reducing the emphasis I placed on that number. I felt that I had much more energy which assisted my performance. Following Kirsty’s advice on nutrition and eating to fuel my body for the amount of training I was doing also assisted my recovery.

Everyone’s goal is different and whatever that may be, weight loss, muscle building, creating healthier habits etc Aristos Fitness are there to work with you and definitely gave me the tools to get where I wanted to be to achieve my goal.”

“Not usually one for posts like this but it’s been a long road.
When I stopped playing rugby I was at my heaviest at around 17.5st, in the picture on the left I had gotten down to a round 16.5 after a wee while away from playing. 2 years ago I joined Aristos and that helped get my BW down to my starting point this time last May at 15st 13lbs or 222lbs after I’d been on holiday.
Tomorrow I head away again for the first time since last year at 192lbs, having lost over 30lbs in the last year. Nothing fancy just consistent training at Aristos Fitness and tracking my food intake.
I’m happy with where I’m at just now with the help of a good Instagram filter, but I do think I’ve made some decent progress.”

“I came back to the gym for 2 reasons, one, the exercise helps my mental health, particularly dealing with stress at work, two although not all that overweight, following blood tests my cholesterol and blood sugar were both high. The challenge gave me the opportunity not only to lose weight but to learn more about nutrition and how I could change my diet to help with my cholesterol and blood sugar. Both have now been re-tested and are at normal levels.

My health has been excellent since coming back to the gym. I feel really fit and much more confident in my body shape. I love seeing the progress that I have made with some of the gymnastic work, particularly my unassisted pull up, which I never thought I would be able to do, and also how my body shape has improved.”

Coming to the end of the challenge, I can see a huge difference physically; I have lost fat and seen a big difference in my strength and stamina. I still have a way to go, but I enjoy the challenge of the WODs so much more now and feel really excited about seeing what my body will be capable of... providing I give it the chance and keep looking after it!

Finally, the friends I have made in my team and in the gym are some of the most inspirational people I've had the good fortune to meet. We sweat through the WODs together and help each other stay on track when things get tough.

“And that’s a wrap for the Aristos Fitness 10 Week Body Transformation Challenge!
Summary:
1. Calories ⬇️
2. Food Volume ⬆️ (via decreasing fat and increasing carbs - oh, and a load of veggies)
3. Training Volume ⬇️ (yep, I trained less)

During the ten week challenge, I went over my daily calorie target 16 times - but managed to consistently hit my weekly intake goal. I ate out (including takeaway) over twenty times, and consumed alcohol on a weekly basis.
Could my results have been better? Sure. But I didn’t have to sacrifice the things I enjoy, nor did I have to suffer to see progress.
Balance.”

I first signed up to the BTC as I had a holiday booked and thought it would be good to help me lose a bit of weight. As we got a few weeks in and the weight started to come off I started to notice an improvement in my performance in the gym which I hadn't really expected as I thought my diet was reasonably good before. I would highly recommend the BTC challenge as I feel the team set up and weekly check ins hold you accountable and keep you on track over the 8-week stretch."

“I've really enjoyed the Aristos Fitness Body Transformation Challenge. I've completed similar programs before and haven't experienced the same great results in just 10 weeks!

As a newcomer, I've found the BTC an ideal introduction to CrossFit. Instruction in the gym has been consistently excellent and I feel I've learned a great deal. I like how varied the WODs are; you get the chance to revisit and practice skills but it never feels repetitive / boring.

The nutritional support we've had throughout the challenge has been excellent. With Heather's ongoing support I've found what works for me and established good habits that are definitely sustainable. The accountability of weigh-ins / progress photos has been a great focus throguhout.

I think one of the greatest strengths of the BTC has been the team spirit. Initially I was nervous about joining WODs and lifting weights as a beginner but I have felt very welcome in the gym. There's always advice and an encouraging word on hand from both coaches and fellow CrossFitters. My BTC group has also been a great source of encouragement.

I didn't give the question of signing up as a long term member a second thought as I'm sure I'll continue to see progress with Aristos Fitness.”
