Who are our Aristos Men’s Strength sessions for?
Many men know they should be doing some form of strength training, but are unsure where to start, what exercises to do, how heavy to train, or how to progress safely. Some men may also feel uncomfortable in a traditional gym environment, especially if they are new to exercise, older, returning after injury, or feel like they have lost strength and fitness over time. They may also prefer to be around like-minded people with similar goals.
Our Men’s Strength sessions are perfect for men who with one or more of the following common struggles:
Lacking confidence in the gym
Not knowing how to structure strength training
Aches, stiffness or recurring niggles
Reduced strength compared to previous years
Wanting to stay strong and active with age
Wanting to improve general health (both mental and physical) and fitness
Needing accountability and routine
Feeling unsure about lifting weights safely
Wanting a supportive group environment rather than training alone
If these resonate then our MEN’S STRENGTH program is for you!
Why is Strength training important?
Strength training is an important part of adult health and fitness. UK public health guidance recommends that adults complete muscle-strengthening activities involving the major muscle groups at least two days per week.
Resistance training has been shown to improve muscle strength, muscle mass and physical function in adults. This is particularly important as people get older, as strength, muscle mass and power can gradually decline with age if they are not maintained.
Objectives of our Men’s Strength program
Our Men’s Strength group will be supported to develop the following:
Build whole-body strength;
Improve confidence with gym-based exercises;
Learn how to lift safely and progressively;
Improve movement quality and control;
Improve balance, coordination and power;
Develop a consistent weekly training routine;
Understand how to train around aches, stiffness or previous injuries;
Improve physical capacity for daily life, work, hobbies and sport;
Continue strength training long-term as part of a healthy lifestyle.
What Is The Cost?
You can access all of the above support for just £82.50 / month for one Men’s Strength session per week.
