Are you a football player and want to get fitter and stronger for your sport? If so, our new programme could be for you!
The 8-week block will focus on coach-led strength and conditioning work specific to football. The aim of these session is to improve vital components of football in strength, power, speed, fitness and reducing the likelihood of injury. Improving these attributes can help not only physically but also to greater success on the pitch to improve your game!
Football is a highly demanding sport so it is vital to strengthen the appropriate areas and condition the muscles based on the demands of the game – with this comes not only performance benefits but also builds resilience in the muscles.
All sessions will involve a “prehab” (injury prevention) element integrated into warm up and session, again with a particular focus on the main muscle groups used in football, as well as being appropriate for the strength and conditioning session.
On top of the weekly S & C coach-led session, running drills will also be provided to integrate into your current training regime to improve on-pitch fitness; this will be monitored using a private Strava group where we can monitor your progress.
All sessions are created and delivered by sport scientist with 5 years experience in full-time football from academy to first team level.

As part of our Aristos Strong For Soccer program, you will get:
8 weeks of one 1-hour strength and conditioning sessions per week (every Wednesday from 7.30-8.30pm) with a maximum of 8 people on the program;
Baseline and end of block testing of the deadlift, squat and countermovement jump;
A focus on developing speed, agility and strength for the sport of football;
Prehab exercises integrated within the program to promote injury prevention for football;
An optional 1:1 consultation with our Strong For Soccer Coach to chat about your goals and progress at the beginning and end of the 8-week block which includes education, goal setting support and a discussion around your current training schedule.
