Kirsty is passionate about helping people find health and happiness at every age and amidst busy family and career commitments. Here is Kirsty’s health and fitness story…

“As a child and teenager, exercise meant playing sport. Tennis was my main passion, and through which I fell in love with strength & conditioning, physiotherapy, massage and nutrition. I was fortunate to spend time in California (USA), Loughborough University and the University of Stirling on tennis scholarships, where I spent valuable time being coached by a variety of strength and conditioning coaches and being supported by physiotherapy teams. Whilst studying Sport Rehabilitation in London, I also worked in the Sport Science department of the Lawn Tennis Association, again gaining valuable experiences working alongside some amazing coaches and practitioners.

Upon returning to Scotland and with degrees in Sport & Exercise Science and Sport Rehabilitation, I embarked on a Master of Philosophy, and at the same time began my first Fitness Instructor job in the gym at the University of Stirling.

In 2015 and after the completion of my Masters, I began lecturing in Health & Fitness, Coaching and Sport Science, initially at Ayrshire College and later that year at the University of the West of Scotland. In the same year, my husband, Robbie, and I opened the doors to Aristos Fitness – an independent strength and conditioning gym in Robbie’s hometown of Stewarton! We were so excited to help other people improve their health and fitness, find a love for strength training, and experience transformations in mind and body.

Over the years Aristos Fitness has grown and evolved, from a group strength and conditioning program to a facility with a variety of health, fitness, physiotherapy and rehabilitation programs, designed to support individuals of all ages and fitness levels. I love the multidimensional and amazing team that makes Aristos what it is today. I love strength training to support my favourite pastimes; including playing with my children, cycling, swimming, running and playing tennis. Above all, I love seeing the small changes day to day in our clients and members, enabling them to live a life they love. “
